• Third-Party Authentication: If you sign in via Google, we receive basic profile information allowed by Google to create your account.
• User-Generated Content: Project data, including musical arrangements, patterns, and visualizer presets that you create and save.
• Usage Data: Basic logs required to maintain service stability and prevent abuse.

2. How Your Information is Used

Your data is used strictly for the following purposes:

• To create and maintain your user account.
• To save, retrieve, and version your projects.
• To allow you to publish content to the public sections of the site.

• Microphone Input: Any microphone input used for visualization is processed locally in your browser. It is not streamed or stored on our servers.
• Video Export: Visualizer canvas recording for video export happens locally on your device.
• Server-Side Processing: If you upload files for processing, the data is sent to our server. These files are deleted immediately after the task is completed.
• Public Content: Any project you "Post" or "Share" becomes public and visible to other users on the platform.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

CrayonBrain uses browser Local Storage and essential cookies to:

• Keep you signed in
• Store temporary project states for autosave functionality
• Remember your interface preferences (e.g., BPM, theme)

These are strictly necessary for the application to function

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated project data at any time by contacting us.

As a user (particularly under Canadian law), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request corrections to inaccurate data
• Request the deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
